#Aoe 2 zoom out free#
I often do that when a teamfight is about to break out, I switch to free camera mode and zoom out a little. Sure you can, you just need to spectate (or watch replays) in free camera mode and use the mousewheel to zoom in and out. I was watching Ti4 playoffs and dota 2 casters zoomed out game from very high point of view how can i do that ingame ? i want to zoomout far A Steam Forum thread suggests the same (emphasis mine): I think I started seeing that in 2013 or later, so it feels like a proper feature had been introduced to do so. However, linked article is from 2012, and involves a lot of console commands, whereas you often see casters zoom out on a whim. but you can unlock the camera while viewing replays. In another answer to that question it's claimed that: I know my question has been asked for playing the game and I understand that you can't.

Though as of now, the best version of AOE2 is definitely the Definitive Edition. Even tested the natives as well but never really thought about them. Can you zoom out while watching a replay? HD is slightly more zoomed out in camera than the original. Heck before the new civs were released I remember testing the outlaws for a bit and I remember them even being more busted then they are now. These issues such as disabled UHD graphics and zoom lock are expected to be fixed in time for the release of Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition on November 14. idle villager, z- patrol ctrl+B- barrack ctrl+A- Archery ctrl+L- stable ctrl+S- blacksmith ctrl+U- university ctrl+V- castle ctrl+K- siege workshop ctrl+I- mill ( f- refresh farms) ctrl+g. Lobbies are sort of too manageable for it to show balance problems besides the really egregious ones. Answer (1 of 6): 100+ AOE 2 shortcuts - Complete list h- town center, c- create new villager.

Ideally people should be able to do the testing already in stuff like the public beta but multiplayer games on there are rare. Well to me its more that the ladder is probably the best place to see the balance problem play out. I'm just thinking that there would be a better chance to iron out some of the balances b4 it gets on the ladder qs with more people having a chance to play with the new civs I'm not saying it's gonna be perfectly balanced by the time it goes into qs. I think delaying them going on QS would only kinda delay the ladder problem since the experimentation that results in OP builds would just be delayed or lessened until people go to the ladder, and then people will still click on QS less when the new civs get into the ladder, and then there might be even less time to figure out patches to the new civs Imagine there was a notification board that keeps scrolling informing you about your stat's on various civs, maps, or players in the ladder that were the biggest movers of the week etc. That and a real mouse and keyboard will boost your ELO by 200 points. Your laptop can likely handle that playing AOE2. My most practical suggestion is to spend 100 on a 24 monitor that supports 1920x1080. I also feel that DE missed out on utilising a lot of the data that is available on this game through notification to players to keep them playing qs. Finally, depending on your version of Windows, you might have better luck using the Accessibility tools to zoom in or out. Not sure how that will effect sales numbers, but in a rts game that is based on qs matchmaking, priority #1 should be ensuring qs is good and incentivise players to keep clicking on qs.

In hindsight, maybe putting new dlc civs only on lobby for the first 2 weeks might be the way to go. If africa remains too strong, there are only 2. If africa is too weak, there are 17 playable civs. Balance understanding aside, I think that devs should typically err to weaker balance. As has been the case with the USA, a civ's strengths and weaknesses can be seen best when the civ is underperforming. Personally, I think Africa being underpowered for a bit might actually be a good thing. undershooting balance changes results in months of imbalance, and the game might not afford that.
